Tottenham Hotspur have been handed several injury blows ahead of their clash with Brighton and Hove Albion as Antonio Conte confirmed that in addition to Matt Doherty, Oliver Skipp and Japhet Tanganga both also remained sidelined for the game.
Doherty has been ruled out for the season following a challenge from Matty Cash in their 4-0 win over Aston Villa forced him off in the first half of the fiery encounter. It comes at a tricky time for the club, with the Irishman having been a key part of their renaissance since the turn of the year.

It means that Emerson Royal, who has been underwhelming since his move to north London on transfer deadline day in the summer, is almost certain to start at wing-back for the rest of the campaign.
Skipp and Tanganga also out
Worse still, neither Oliver Skipp nor Japhet Tanganga have recovered from their problems, further limiting the options for Antonio Conte to call upon. There is good news with Ryan Sessegnon, however, who revealed they will be fit to take part on Saturday lunchtime as they host the Seagulls.
Conte: โThe Doherty injury is really bad news, you know well the improvement in our team and it’s a pity to lose a player like him for the rest of the season. Also (Japhet) Tanganga and (Oliver) Skipp are not available, this bad news for us. (Ryan) Sessegnon is ready.โ #COYS

Having just beaten fellow top 4 hopesfuls Arsenal, Brighton will come back to north London with their tails up, and hope to continue putting the proverbial cat amongst the pigeons in the European football places with a result against Conte’s side.
