Erik Ten Hag has reportedly already lined up his first two signings as Manchester United boss should he take the Old Trafford hotseat in the summer, it has been revealed.
A drab 1-1 draw with Leicester City at Old Trafford increased the scrutiny on the managerial position at Manchester United, with many already writing off this season and turning their attentions to the next.
And the current Ajax boss has been made the favorite for the Manchester United job, with interviews having been held in the last fortnight. Speaking to the media about the position, Ten Hag revealed that he would complete the season with Ajax before making his decision, but refused to shut the door.
“Manchester United is a great club with great fans, but I can only repeat myself: my full focus is completely on Ajax’, he revealed when questioned. ‘We are already planning for the new season. If at some point I should decide to take the next step, I hope that people here will understand.’

Antony and Timber to follow?
Now, as per Mirror Football, Ten Hag would look to bring both Antony and Jurrien Timber to Old Trafford with him from Ajax should he make the move in the summer.
Manchester United’s interest in Antony was revealed last month, with the Red Devils keen to add another skilful wide player to complement Jadon Sancho, and with Marcus Rashford’s future up in the air at present.
However, links to centre-back Timber, a 20-year-old athletic defender, suggesting that the future is already being prepared for, although with the form of Harry Maguire and Raphael Varane this season there is an argument that he could warrant a starting berth at Old Trafford should he arrive.
Whether this all happens, and whether Ten Hag even becomes the next permanent Manchester United boss, remains unknown for now.
