Cristiano Ronaldo’s celebration is one of the most iconic in World football and sport more widely, and the love for it has ramped up significantly since his return to Manchester United in the summer of 2021.
It has been widely used outside of football, including volleyball and tennis, and has become popular among fans both in adoration and mockery of the 37 year old.

And now, it is clearly becoming a celebration that is set to continue well beyond Ronaldo’s playing days, and perhaps even into his son’s time as a professional should he make it. And he is already practicing.
As shown below, 11-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo Jr netted for the Manchester United U12s against Spanish side Girona, and could not help but whipping out his father’s famous celebration as he wheeled away in ecstasy.

Ronaldo to rediscover goalscoring form?
Before the turn of the year, everything that Ronaldo touched turned into gold, but that has changed since. Barring a brilliant hat-trick against Tottenham, the goals have dried up for the superstar, and his lack of returns has contributed to Manchester United’s awful form, which has left them six points behind the leaders for fourth place Spurs, despite having beaten them twice this season.
It means that at present, Ronaldo is set to be striding out in the Europa Conference League next season, with the Red Devils currently in 7th place following their 1-0 defeat to Everton in their most recent clash.
The celebration may not quite have the same iconic touch in Europe’s third tier competition.
