Antonio Conte has, in truly remarkable fashion, seemingly hinted that he will walk away from Tottenham following their latest defeat to Burnley.
The loss, their fourth in five games, virtually nullified the impressive Manchester City result in terms of points picked up, and leaves the Lilywhites in eighth place, although they have played two games less than both Manchester United and West Ham.
Unbeaten in 9 Premier League games before this run, Spurs now face an uphill battle to make the final top 4 spot, and a Champions League place.

And while the performance was poor, the sole talking point now is about the future of Conte, who only took the job in November.
Conte lashes out
In the press conference after the defeat, Antonio Conte astonishingly suggested that he may well leave the club as a result of their poor form.
‘I need to talk to the club’, the Italian said. ‘Tottenham have to make an assessment about the club, about me. I can’t accept to keep losing. I’m sorry.’
‘Here coaches change, but players are always the same… but results don’t change.’

It caps a remarkable turnaround from Conte, who only four days prior lauded this Tottenham side as ‘one of the best group of players I’ve worked with in my career’ following their win over Manchester City.
Should he walk away, it would leave Spurs searching for a third permanent manager of the season, and fifth in three years, as they continue to struggle to return to their best seasons under Mauricio Pochettino.
